    Membership application
    Membership application approval process
    - Membership applications are submitted to AFMIN Secretariat, which makes sure that they are in line with the criteria. AFMIN will undertake field visits for the purpose of verifying the information provided by the national network and to initiate a relationship. Following the visit, the secretariat will forward the application to the Board for provisional approval.
    - Having received the application forwarded by the Executive Director, the Board will review and approve or reject it on a temporary basis. Definitive membership is only granted by the General Assembly during its annual meeting.
    The General Assembly can postpone its decision until complementary information deemed necessary is available; then, the country-level network is sent a notification of such decision.

    Permanent AFMIN membership requirements
    - Delivering constant value-added services that cater for the actual needs of MFI members
    - ncouraging sharing experiences among members
    - Committing oneself to continuous improvement in the quality of services provided to members
    - Implementing participative as well as transparent management
    - Sound governance principles, including election of Board members
    - Payment of US$ 200 as membership fee and regular payment of US$ 1000 as yearly contribution. Payment of annual subscriptions will be effected within three months of receipt of the notice from the AFMIN Secretariat, and not later than the annual general meeting of the year in question. All membership fees are payable in US $ of other marketable currencies.
    - Participating and hosting in AFMIN activities, such as annual general meetings, workshops and service delivery
    - Unconditional compliance with AFMIN sustainability oriented objectives perceivable through its vision and mission
