About the Organization:
ACCION Texas is a non profit, multi state microfinance company and small business lender that helps entrepreneurs start, stabilize and grow their businesses. It is based in San Antonio with operations in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. ACCION Texas is dedicated to increasing incomes and creating jobs in low income communities by providing micro entrepreneurs with access to credit and business support services not available from the commercial banking sector.
About the Job:
ACCION Texas is looking for Trainer who will be responsible for developing and facilitating a variety of training programs and materials for employees to cover the lending process from loan application to loan closing. The training will also include soft skills leadership skills and software and technical skills.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform needs assessments for employee and client training;
- Develop and facilitate training for new and existing employees in San Antonio and other ACCION sites;
- Develop and facilitate training for new, existing and prospective MMS clients;
- Coordinate training preparation and plans with hiring managers for new employee readiness;
- Create and facilitate webinars on pertinent topics to the target audiences;
- Develop evaluation methods to gage the effectiveness of training;
- Track and analyze evaluations and revise training to improve effectiveness;
- Update existing documentation on processes and policies and write new documents as needed;
- Create web based platform for delivering training content;
- Write test scripts for software testing;
- Plan and conduct testing of Microsoft CRM for launch of new software upgrades;
- Maintain and update training documentation;
- Manage and/or develop content for biannual staff conference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred or combination of equivalent work experience and education;
- At least 3 years of experience initiating training programs at a company of at least 50 employees;
- Experience in testing software and training users on new software functionality;
- At least 3 years of experience with multiple teaching techniques and with engaging diverse adult audiences in trainings one on one, webinars and large groups;
- Proven ability to quickly assimilate into a new organization and understand how it operates in order to teach employees;
- Experience creating a web based platform for training delivery to internal employees and external customers (preferred);
- Multimedia experience, editing video and creating webinars (preferred);
- Lending experience is a plus;
- Ability to effectively communicate all procedural steps and processes in the ACCION loan process;
- Ability to identify new areas of training needs;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Skilled at conflict resolution one on one or in groups;
- Reliable transportation, flexible hours with ability to travel;
- Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs, knowledge of Microsoft CRM preferred;
- Ability to quickly learn new software, teaching techniques and internal company policies and procedures;
- Skilled at teaching and engaging adults;
- Proven effective supervisory skills (for potential future growth);
- Experienced in principles of adult learning, learning styles;
- Excellent facilitator, presenter and communicator;
- Experienced in principles of instructional design.
