It also builds and strengthens the youth enterprise and livelihoods sector by creating learning opportunities and networks, which result in stronger partnerships, programs, and policies that support young entrepreneurs.
About the Job:
Making Cents International is seeking a Project Coordinator to be a member of the project management team. S/he will contribute to activities related to project development, communications, administration and backstopping.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Work with director of project management and operations to support portfolio of small to medium-sized US and overseas projects;
* Coordinate logistics for fielding of staff and consultants, arrange travel, process expense reports and invoices, and ensure adherence to contracts on existing and future projects;
* Contribute to managing project materials by tracking project data and evaluations, reviewing field reports, and maintaining contract records;
* Assist with maintenance of electronic and physical filing system;
* Provide administrative support;
* Work to support manager of partnerships and communications with development of marketing and communication materials;
* Contribute to the writing, editing, and layout of success stories, impact statements, and newsletter content.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant area;
* At least 2 years of experience in an office environment;
* Experience with USAID or federal government financed contracts;
* Proficiency in one or more foreign languages, French, Arabic preferred;
* Experience living and/ or working in developing countries;
* Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple deadlines and rapidly changing demands;
* Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
* Valid US work permit required.
