The Africa Microfinance Network (AFMIN) will organize its 11th Annual Conference
and the 1st African SPM Conference in Kampala, Uganda, from September 24th to 29th, 2012

i. AFMIN participated to key international and regional meetings to create awareness about the AFMIN consensus statement on sound policy for microfinance. The meetings which AFMIN participated includes:- AMAF/WWB Meeting on Diagnostic of Microfinance Industry in Africa (Nairobi, June 2009)

AFMIN conducted in collaboration with WWB an inventory of policy framework in the diferent countries with view to enforce effective national policies and strategies for microfinance. This includes:- Ethiopia
- Kenya
- Uganda
- Zimbabwe
- Malawi
- Tanzania
- South Africa
AFMIN organised with support from WWB and network members two policy workshops on:- Reviewing the "PARMEC law" to better respond to the needs and expectation of the industry in UEMOA zone and
- Building Effective National Policy and Strategies in East and South Africa
